Mosnews reports, that several computer companies, including Moscow office of IBM Corp., have been searched by police investigators and OMON, special police force unit in Moscow.
IBM official Jonathan Batty told RIA Novosti: "All that I can say now about the searches in the Moscow representative office is that we are cooperating with the Russian authorities in respect of the investigation into our business in Russia."
"So far it's too early to talk about the nature of the investigation," he added.
The search is likely to be related to corruption investigation into the Russian Pension Fund and illegal supplies of computers to the Fund in 2005-2006.
