Media reports that Belarus chose a French partner for construction of its nuclear power plant. The head of the Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko commented the news during his speech at the Russian State Duma, reports Regnum.
Mr Kiriyenko said the information was incorrect.
“Necessity of constructing a nuclear power plant in Belarus is being discussed. Russia is ready to participate, but only on economically expedient conditions,” he added.
According to him, it was either an information leak or an attempt by Belarus to present its bargaining position at talks.
