Wheelchair dancing is a sport pursued by people with disabilities in 40 countries around the world. The first wheelchair dance school has opened its doors for people with disabilities in Togliatti.
The project, realized by Togliatti Organization for Physically Handicapped “Clio”, was actively supported by Togliatti City Hall as a socially important to the city.
The dance school will promote change in how people view disability. Dance lessons help to adapt to social life, expand circle of friends and develop creativity.
Aside from helping to integrate disability and dancing, wheelchair dance is an activity which provides its participants with inspiration as well as health benefits.
