Kommersant informs that Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov supported the idea of unification fight between heavyweight boxers Oleg Maskaev of Russia and Vladimir Klitschko of Ukraine.
The bout is likely to be held on 21 April at Olimpiisky Stadium in Moscow.
Boxingconfindential.com reported, that Oleg Maskaev's promoter Dennis Rappaport decided to arrange a unification fight of his client with Klitschko. He has reached the necessary understanding with Klitschko's managers Bernd Bonte and Shelly Finkel.
Meanwhile WBC title makes Mascaev fight with his WBC’s mandatory challenger Samuel Peter of Nigeria.
Dennis Rappaport hopes to win the WBC's sanction for the voluntary unification with Klitschko. The super fight is expected to be very profitable, the boxers will share $10 million once all expenses are settled, the promoter calculated.
