Russia’s President Vladimir Putin told about his possible successor
in an interview to Indian media before his visit to India on 25 January, Regnum agency informed.
Mr Putin admitted he was thinking about the next president since the beginning of his term. "Of course I would like next president to continue the policy pursued recent years," he said.
"In recent we escaped the situation of permanent crises in Russia and transferred to the situation of political and economic stability, sustainable economic growth and rise of people's revenues."
The key task for the future president is to provide steady growth of people’s income and to focus on improving quality of living standards, Mr Putin underlined. The President also said he was sure "our citizens are capable of distinguishing a decent and active person from chatterboxes, phrase-mongers and loafers."
