The ski resort at Russia's 2014 Winter Olympics candidate city Sochi was closed by the local authorities because of poor safety equipment, Mosnews.
It is reported that a regional court has given the order for the resort to be shut down after inspecting technical, medical and fire equipment.
"The Krasnya Polnaya resort near Sochi has not been operating for two days," Kommersant wrote. "On Monday all the lifts, restaurants and cafes at the resort were closed."
Valdimir Putin personally backed Sochi's bid, he often skis in the Krasnaya Polyana. The other two remaining candidate cities for the 2014 Winter Olympics are Salzburg in Austria and Pyeongchang in South Korea. The IOC will announce the host city in Guatemala in July.
