Two Russian female tourists, Tatiana Tsimfer, 30, and Liubov Svirkova, 25, who were shot dead at a beach in Pattaya resort (Thailand) on February 24, were in no way involved in sex industry, Russia's Consul in Bangkok Vladimir Pronin announced today in an interview to RSN.
Regnum informs, that the version was treated as a working one in the beginning of the investigation.
“The girls were common tourists and came to see the country for the first time ever," Mr Pronin said.
As Pattaya Daily News reported today, a tourist guide is named among key suspects on the case. H?? was reportedly fixed by CCTV cameras while running from the beach after the girls were shot dead. The man has since disappeared, the paper reports.
Other suspects in the case include two Russian males pictured in a group photograph with the two girls.
Bodies of two Russian female tourists, Tatiana Tsimfer, 30, and Liubov Svirkova, 25, were found at a hotel beach in Pattaya early in the morning on February 24. A gunman shot them four times and escaped. Last time the girls were seen earlier that morning in a bar of the resort.
