Heather Mills wanted a gay dancing partner · 2007-03-29 12:28
Sir Paul McCartney’s estranged wife Heather Mills showed off her physical skills in “Dancing with the stars” by doing a backflip.
Judge Bruno Tonioli told her: “That was beyond any expectations. You were on warp drive tonight. Red hot!”
“I was amazed she was able to do this,” Playfuls quoted
choreographer Jeff Allen as saying. “Even without that move, she had one of the most difficult dances of the night. She has really developed the character of the Latin dance. She moved very well.”
Madonna choreographer Carrie Ann Inaba added: “What in the world? That was a back walk-over — I’m just so blown away by you. The level of difficulty in that routine was far higher than anyone else’s tonight and I wouldn’t think you would have thrown that in but you did and you nailed it. That was great.”
Mills also tried to dispel rumors that she fancies her partner, and said: “I asked for a gay guy. So Jonathan turned up, and I thought, ‘Well, he doesn’t really look gay.’ And I said, ‘Are you gay?’ And he said, ‘No, I’m not. I’m married.’”
Heather continued: “I trust Jonathan with my life. I would allow him to throw me anywhere.”
In August 1993, Mills was hit by a police motorcycle while crossing the road near London’s Kensington Palace. She needed a metal plate put into her pelvis and the amputation of her left leg below the knee.
Mills McCartney subsequently had a prosthetic leg, notably taking it off and showing it to USA talk show host Larry King during his interview with her in October 2002.
