A Russian citizen was injured in an explosion at a Turkish hotel Thursday, RIA Novosti quoted a Russia’s Consulate General in Antalya. A hotel employee was killed in the accident.
According to preliminary reports, a liquefied petroleum gas tank exploded in the early morning at the five-star Kaya hotel in Belek.
Belek, a resort town near Antalya, is especially popular with holidaymakers from Russia, Germany and Israel.
The chief doctor of a local clinic said, that injured Russian tourist’s name is Alexander Lychkov and his injures are not life-threatening.
“He was only lightly injured, but he is in a state of psychological shock,” the official said.
A tourist from Norway was also injured in the blast, along with eight Turks working at the hotel.
