Russia has no plans to allow a US missile defence shield onto its soil, the Foreign Ministry said yesterday, after a senior source said Moscow was ready to discuss a collective system against any attack by rogue states.
"This information is incorrect and absolutely does not reflect Russia's position on missile defence," Foreign Ministry spokesman Mikhail Kamynin said.
On Friday a senior Russian Foreign Ministry source said Russia could host the shield on its territory if the US rethinks plans for a system on Russia's borders, Gulf Daily News informs.
