24 percent of Russians think that they live in the European Union, according to a recent opinion poll.
28 percent found it difficult to answer this question while 48 percent know that Russia is not an EU member, Kommersant reported.
36 percent of the respondents believe that Russia should seek an EU membership while 26 percent are against it.
Most of EU integration supporters live in Moscow where 48% are for Russia's membership in the Union and 50% welcome EU enlargement.
The poll surveyed 1,500 people in 44 Russian regions this March.
