A psychiatrist who is said to have prescribed drugs to the late Playboy model Anna Nicole Smith is being investigated, the BBC said.
A spokeswoman for the California medical board confirmed Dr Khristine Eroshevich was the subject of a probe but gave no further details.
Documents from the medical examiner show Dr Eroshevich prescribed 11 drugs found in the room where Ms Smith died.
Officials have confirmed she died of an accidental overdose of sleeping pills.
Last month Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper said the 39-year-old former Playboy centrefold had been taking a variety of sleeping pills, anti-depressants and anti-anxiety drugs.
“I can only tell you that she [Eroshevich] is being investigated in connection with the Anna Nicole Smith matter,” medical board spokeswoman Candis Cohen said.
There was no immediate comment from the Los Angeles-based psychiatrist.
