Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown has officially listed Eddie Murphy as the father of her daughter on the baby’s birth certificate, People magazine informed.
Melanie Brown, 31, gave birth to the baby girl on April 3. Murphy, who once dated Brown, has said doesn’t know who the child’s father is.
In December 2006, before the singer officially announced her pregnancy, Murphy, 46, questioned the baby’s paternity during an interview on Dutch TV.
“I don’t know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test,” he said after being asked about rumors that he’d fathered the baby. “You shouldn’t jump to conclusions, sir.”
Two days later, Brown put out a statement saying she was “upset and distressed at some of the comments made by Eddie.”
