Birkhead wants privacy for his daughter · 2007-04-13 15:56
Anna Nicole Smith gave birth to her daughter Dannielynn Stern in the Bahamas in September 2006.
Since that time the baby has been at the center of a paternity test debate that raged on for months.
After that DNA test proved Larry Birkhead was the father of Dannielynn, it seemed obvious that Birkhead would take custody of Dannielynn. He publicly stated he will not share custody.
Howard K. Stern has accepted that fact and said he will not seek any more legal action against Birkhead.
Meanwhile Virgie Arthur, the mother of Anna Nicole Smith, apparently is still fighting for custody of her grandchild. She feels she can provide the most stable home for Dannielynn and insists on joint custody of the child.
Virgie Arthur and Larry Birkhead will enter into a private meeting to determine what role the mother of Anna Nicole Smith will play in the life of Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern, other than as the grandmother.
Birkhead told Access Hollywood: “I’d just like to listen I guess. I don’t know what anybody wants to say to me. I don’t know really what there is to talk about, but I’m glad to sit down and have a discussion.”
To introduce the world to Larry Birkhead and his daughter Dannielynn, Birkhead has suggested he will sell the first photos of he and his child to the media.
“I think the best thing is to get a picture out there of the two of us together and that takes the chase off and if there’s any proceeds from that, put it in a trust for the baby and everybody wins.”
“Then we go away and hopefully everybody will leave us alone and hopefully give us privacy.”
