"American Idol" Sanjaya Malakar has won an awkward award, readying for going through another week on the TV show. He's been named Today's Girl by Maxim Online.
"You've no one but the Devil's lawyer to blame for this androgynous American Idol stowaway, who, despite being detested by the judges, somehow remains in the hunt for the show's coveted prize as this year’s top 40 footnote. Meanwhile, the Vote for the Worst ("Idol" contender) campaign is in full swing, as their contestant became last week the longest running VFTW pick ever.
Also, in a notable development, last season's Paris Bennett declared she also votes for Sanjaya Malakar, and she hopes it'll take down "American Idol", Playfuls.com reports.
"We want to see him [Sanjaya] win because it'll kind of prove that "American Idol" is kind of losing its taste," says Bennett, "it kinda isn't going for talent anymore and more for popularity."
