The TMZ.com web site posted an angry, threatening voicemail message Alec Baldwin left for his 11-year-old daughter Ireland, People magazine reported.
Baldwin lashes out at his daughter for missing a scheduled phone call, saying she was a “rude little pig” and threatening to “straighten your ass out.”
“You have humiliated me for the last time,” he tells her.
In a statement, Baldwin’s representative says the actor “acknowledges that he should have used different language in parenting his child” but that “everyone who knows him privately knows what he has been put through for the past six years.”
The couple divorced in December 2001 after eight years of marriage. Basinger and Baldwin settled on joint legal and physical custody of their only daughter, who lives in Los Angeles with her mother to attend school, while Baldwin lives in New York.
Basinger and Baldwin have been fighting over custody of daughter Ireland for more than three years.
