Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has asked her friend and former bandmate Victoria Beckman to be godmother to her 11-month-old daughter Bluebell.
But husband David, who relocated to America earlier this year to play with US football team LA Galaxy, has been overlooked as godfather.
Instead George Michael’s partner Kenny Goss was invited to be godfather.
More A-list guests are expected to attend the event: Spice Girls Melanie Chisolm and a pregnant Emma Bunton have been invited.
Spice girl Melanie Brown won’t make the event, instead remaining in Los Angeles with her new baby daughter Fortuna Daphne Bay.
Bluebell’s father and Geri’s estranged Sacha Gervasi will also be absent from this important day.
The christening is set to take place at a church in London’s Hampstead.
