Melanie Brown, the former Spice Girl, has named her baby daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown, after the comedian Eddie Murphy, who she claims is the father.
The 31-year-old Brown already had another daughter, 8-year-old Phoenix Chi, from her marriage to Jimmy Gulzar. She remained pregnant with the new baby while she was involved with Eddie Murphy last year.
Melanie has reportedly listed him as the father, but Murphy shocked her in December last year by saying on Dutch TV he isn't too convinced about that. If Eddie is indeed the father, this will be his eighth, Playfuls.com reports.
Brown, 31, gave birth on April 3 in Santa Monica, California and listed Murphy's name on the birth certificate. Melanie Brown explained in a statement the name of her baby daughter. "Angel, as she was my little angel through my pregnancy. Iris, as it's my grandma's name, Murphy because he's the dad, and Brown, because I'm the Mum!" the statement said.
