Heather Mills has been voted off celebrity dance show Dancing With The Stars in the sixth week of competition.
The estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney, Heather Mills became an inspiration for many fans.
She was the first show contestant to dance with prosthetic leg , as Mills lost her leg years ago in a car accident. She became an inspiration to others to overcome their physical limitations.
In her farewell speech Mills told the audience of Dancing With the Stars, “We knew we were going out. We were in the bottom two last week. We’re not surprised.”
Heather Mills thanked her dance partner Jonathan Roberts and even the show’s orchestra, makeup artists, costume designers, and the fans who have supported her along the way.
According to BBC News Online, Mills donated her fee for the show to vegetarian charity Viva!.
Heather said that because she was on Dancing With the Stars she “raised a fortune for our charity and hundreds of thousands of animals’ lives will be saved.”
Phil Hall, a spokesperson for Heather Milss, said that she was doing the show because “it’s something that might take her mind of some of the difficulties she’s been having.”
