Johnny Depp, the star of the "Pirates of the Caribbean", insists his daughter, Lily Rose, seven, and son, Jack, five, have given his life meaning, they are "reason to exist".
Depp, whose long-term partner is French star Vanessa Paradis, said: "My family is my sanctuary. I live for them now. I finally found a reason to exist in this world. There is nothing like it. I would give everything away if I could only keep my family."
The actor can not bear to be apart from his family and takes them away with him on location no matter where in the world he is shooting.
He said: "The most I was apart from my family was four weeks and it drove me mad. I can't do it. You shouldn't have to be apart from your family."
Depp has also revealed his daughter's recent life-threatening illness made him reflect on his priorities.
According to Monsters and critics, Lily Rose spent 9 days in a London hospital in March after contracting the potentially deadly E. coli bacteria.
