Pirates of the Carribean was given top honours at this year’s MTV Movie Awards, Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow) took out the Best Performance award. The actor joined Pirates producer Jerry Bruckheimer to accept the Golden Popcorn trophy.
"This is the man who did it all right here, Johnny Depp," Bruckheimer said. "Without him, we wouldn’t be here."
UK comedian Sasha Baron Cohen earned the funny award for his effort in Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
Cohen also won the Best Kiss award for his pash with Will Ferrell in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. The two comedians shared a long, passionate kiss on stage as they accepted their awards, which degenerated into a faux makeout session on the floor.
A surprise red carpet appearance by Paris Hilton sent tongues wagging.
