The sons of Princess Diana said in a television interview that they think about their mother's death all the time.
It is difficult to believe that it is already 10 years since Princess Diana died, so quickly has the time gone. But to her sons it has been an eternity, MSNBC reports.
Prince Harry tells TODAY co-host Matt Lauer in an exclusive interview, has gone by "really, really slowly actually. It's weird because I think when she ??“ she passed away ??“ there was never that time, there was never that sort of lull. There was never that sort of peace and quiet for any of us ??“ the fact that her face was always splattered on the paper the whole time.
Over the last 10 years I personally feel as though she has been. . . always there. She's always being a constant reminder to both of us and everybody else."_
Prince Harry, who will be 23 in September, is the younger of the two sons of Charles, the Prince of Wales, and Lady Diana. He is third in line to the throne of Great Britain, behind his father and his brother, Prince William, who will celebrate his 25th birthday on June 21.
"There's not a day goes by I don't think . . . about it," Prince William told Lauer in the first interview the two royals have ever given on U.S. television. "And so for us is a very slow and it’s a lot ??“ it has been a long time."
The interview will air in two parts on Monday, June 18. And an exclusive preview will air on TODAYshow.com, Friday, June 15.
In it, the princes talk about why they decided to honor the 10th anniversary of their mother's death with a London concert to be held on July 1, her birthday. They also talk about their feelings about the public's fascination with their lives, their opinions of America and what they would do if they had not been born into the Royal Family.
