The second oldest Baldwin brother, Daniel, is offering some insight into his addiction to cocaine. "I'm a diehard coke-head," he admitted to ABC's "Primetime". He has had an 18 year addiction to the drug and may finally be scared straight.
He told "Primetime" that after a speeding car crash and a prior arrest he asked for help from his younger brother Stephen. "That was my wakeup call," Daniel told the TV tabloid show "Extra". "I actually called Stephen and said, "I'm ready.'" He became a "born again" Christian like his youngest brother Stephen.
Daniel's mother, Carol, admitted to being scared on ABC's "Good Morning America". His mother told the show “Every time the phone rings after a certain hour at night, I pray that it's not that Daniel is dead."
Primetime followed the 46 year-old Daniel Baldwin to the Malibu rehab Renaissance where he voluntarily checked himself in. This is his 9th attempt at getting clean. This time Daniel is giving "Primetime" unprecedented access inside his 7-month long detox. He will also be sharing with the world his chilling video diary of his battle to get clean.
The rehabilitation will not be cheap, Best Syndication informs. According to "Extra", it will cost $50,000 a month. Daniel's mother knows getting "well" can be expensive because she is a cancer survivor.
