Oscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett and pop star Christina Aguilera have both confirmed that they are pregnant.
Blanchett told reporters at the Sydney premiere of her film Elizabeth: The Golden Age that her baby was due in April, which was "very exciting", BBC informs.
Aguilera used an interview with Glamour magazine to say she would "enter into mommyhood" at the start of next year.
She said she wanted to be a working mother, so she could "balance" the needs of her child with her career.
According to San Francisco Chronicle, the singer previously refused to comment on the status of her bulging belly, despite her father Fausto Aguilera and her pal Paris Hilton letting slip about the 26-year-old's happy news earlier this year.
Her husband, music executive Jordan Bratman, was ecstatic about the prospect of becoming a father, Christina said.
"He's thrilled! He's just great", Aguilera explained.
The couple has also been spotted shopping at baby boutiques in Los Angeles on numerous occasions in recent weeks.
It will be the first child for Aguilera, whereas Blanchett, 38, already has sons aged five and three with her husband Andrew Upton.
