Kate and Gerry McCann, the parents of Madeleine, vanished from the family’s holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal on 3 May, say their only Christmas wish is to have their daughter back. They have sent a Christmas message to Madeleine in a new video worldwide appeal recorded at their home in Rothley, Leicestershire.
The couple believe their daughter is still alive. In the first part of the video Kate and Gerry talk about the possibility that someone knows what happened to Madeleine.
"You must understand that you hold the key to ending all this despair and anguish, for both us and Madeleine," they said.
"Our only Christmas wish is for you to be back with us again and we’re hoping and praying that that will happen," Kate McCann said, speaking directly to her daughter.
The McCanns appeal for anyone with information to call a confidential hotline run by a Spain-based private detective agency, BBC informed.
