Britney Spears has endured a traumatic first night under psychiatric care following her hospitalisation in the early hours of yesterday morning, with doctors classifying the star incapable of taking care of her own basic needs.
After arriving at the UCLA Medical Centre around 2.15am on Thursday, the troubled pop star spent the following two hours screaming hysterically at her parents and staff, according to reports.
In an astonishing outburst, Britney accused her mother of wanting to sleep with her boyfriend, Daily Mail reports.
Although she did not say who she was referring to, Spears is currently dating Birmingham paparazzo Adnan Ghalib.
Since her admission, Britney has been branded "gravely disabled," a term used to indicate a patient is unable to properly care for themselves as a result of a mental disorder.
It means the 26-year-old singer is unable to fulfil such basic needs as feeding, clothing or sheltering herself.
Sources at the hospital said Spears has fallen into a "manic state" because of her bipolar disorder.
Insiders also told U.S. media that Britney said she was on Adderall, a stimulant used to treat Attention Deficit Disorder, when she was admitted.
And she also admitted to taking up to ten laxatives a day, having previously been caught buying laxatives on her regular shopping trips.
Sick Britney is under 24-hour supervision in a psychiatric ward and cannot even bathe by herself and is forced to wear the mandatory green robe and hospital wristband.
