Zenit from St. Petersburg celebrate their moment of triumph in UEFA Cup final as they defeated Scotland's Rangers in the final.
The Russian outfits Zenit notched their first major European title with a victory over Glasgow Rangers in the UEFA Cup final match in the City of Manchester, Sport-Express informs.
Dick Advocaat's club took the start in the final as reluctant favorites and even Zenit best scorer Pavel Pogrebnyak's absence didn't affect the outcome of the game.
The second-half goals from Igor Denisov and Konstantin Zyryanov secured a 2-0 win for Zenit which became the second trophy for the Russian clubs in UEFA Cup campaign.
The teams were unable to open the score in the first half of game with Zenit dominated at the City of Manchester stadium.
Igor Denisov was the first to give Zenit the lead on the 72nd minute while they managed to double their advantage only in added time as Konstantin Zyryanov put the final stop to the game.
