The Edge of Love to open the Edinburgh Film Festival · 2008-06-18 12:53

Keira Knightley, http://www.telegraph.co.uk The opening night of the Edinburgh International Film Festival will feature the World premiere of the Dylan Thomas biopic – The Edge of Love.

The film is written by Sharman MacDonald, mother of the film’s star Keira Knightley. It tells the story of two feisty, free-spirited women connected by poet Dylan Thomas, who loves them both.

The 62nd Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) will show 142 features from 29 countries during its 12 day run. There will be 15 World premieres and 72 UK premieres.

Keira Knightley, Sienna Miller, Joely Richardson, Sean Connery and Jaime Winstone will be among the stars attending the opening night.

It is the first time in its history the event has been held outside the main festival month of August, BBC reports.
