Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has said that Zenit St. Petersburg were the better team in Friday's Super Cup match and deserved their victory.
Zenit beat Manchester United 2-1 in Monaco in the annual fixture between the holders of the UEFA Cup and the Champions League, RIA Novosti reports.
"Zenit were better because they created more chances than us. I have to admit that our opponents deserved their victory," said Vidic, who signed for Manchester United from Spartak Moscow in 2006 after two years at the Russian club.
