The Oscar-winner will sponsor awards for best male and best female actor at the upcoming Tropfest NY.
"I went to her a week or two ago, saying we were doing the festival here, and I wanted to give the best actor and actress a great prize and how did she feel about it. She generously decided to help out," festival founder and director John Polson told People.
Polson says he is “still confirming” whether Nicole Kidman would be on hand to award the prizes in person.
