The 46-year-old Amanda Donohoe is joining the cast of Yorkshire soap Emmerdale.
"I’m hoping the next few months will deliver some intriguing new storylines and I’m looking forward to galloping across the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and of course a pint of champagne at the Woolie," the actress said.
LA Law star added she was "very excited" to be playing one half of "sexy new couple" Natasha and Mark Wylde. Her on-screen husband will be played by Maxwell Caulfield.
The couple will make their debut on the ITV1 soap at Christmas.
The actress has also starred in US sitcom Frasier and ITV1 drama Bad Girls, and besides, she won a Golden Globe in 1992 for her role in LA Law, BBC reports.
