Teenage singer Diana Vickers has missed out on a place in the X Factor final after becoming the ninth contestant to be voted off the ITV1 show.
Her exit means the contest’s remaining three acts, Alexandra Burke, Eoghan Quigg and boy band JLS will battle it out for the coveted X Factor title.
Diana Vickers, 17, sang Avril Lavigne’s Girlfriend and White Flag by Dido on Saturday.
Half way through her rendition of Dido’s White Flag, the other contestants ran onto the stage and hugged her, crying.
"I’m going to remember this for the rest of my life. I can’t believe this has happened," Diana said.
"I don’t think this is the last we have seen of you. You will be back," her X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole said.
Alexandra Burke said, that she was really shocked because she had thought Diana to be going to win, BBC reports.
