Guus Hiddink may leave Russia in November · 2009-03-20 16:25
Guus Hiddink has hinted that he could remain as Chelsea manager on a full-time basis if Russia fails to qualify for the 2010 World Cup finals.
The Dutchman agreed to replace sacked Luiz Felipe Scolari until the summer after the Russian Football Union allowed him to combine both roles, ESPN reports.
Hiddink has always insisted that he will return to Russia at the end of the Premier League season but on Friday he revealed there is a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave if he fails to lead the Russian team to the 2010 finals in South Africa.
"I will focus on Russia after this project but people say, "Think about it, stay'," said Hiddink. _"I enjoy it with the Russians but I do have a clause that says we can stop in November if Russia don't qualify.
"Then, the Russian FA can choose another direction and I would also be free to go."
