Russian pair skater, World champion Alexei Tikhonov told LIFE about plans for the future.
The skater and "Hot Ice" serial star confessed that nowadays he is dreaming about a long-awaited child only. Alexei and his sweetheart Maria Petrova, who is also his partner in figure skating, are going to give birth to a baby soon.
According to Russian proverb, every man should build a house, plant a tree and give birth to a son. Alexei Tikhonov said that the house is already built near the second Russia's capital Saint Petersburg, the tree is also planted. So, the couple is aiming to have children.
As for wedding, Alexei and Maria decided to tie the knots after the baby's birth.
Meanwhile the partners are together in civil marriage during 10 years.
