Famous tough guy Andrei Nazarov gives interview · 2009-10-23 13:32
Lada Togliatti hockey team played with Traktor Chelyabinsk yesterday. The KHL match held in Togliatti and the local team celebrated the victory – 3:2. May be, you remember Traktor’s current coach Andrei Nazarov – a famous tough guy in the past, played in NHL matches.
The day before the match Andrei Nazarov agreed to give interview to TLTnews.net’s correspondent Evgeniy Korotkikh.
– Andrei, there is the 43d day of KHL championship today. And it’s possible to resume in some way. Did Traktor start the season according to the plan or there was some suddenness?
– To tell the truth, everybody always wants more than has. Nowadays we are in play-off zone and it’s possible to say that it’s a lucky start. But we should hold our position and get better.
– Traktor saved most of his leaders at the off-season period. Are you satisfied with team personnel or you want to change something?
– It’s a common wish to make the personnel better. Every coach wants to make his team stronger. As a rule, there is a lack of a forward and a defender to reach this aim. We work with the existing team, given attention to young players from our school.
– As I understand, it’s possible to make a conclusion that Traktor doesn’t orient to this-time result due to invited hockey stars and prepares young generation for the future as well?
– Well, we are really responsible for the result this season. But it’s necessary to look into the future in anyway. Every young hockey-player needs to have time to feel comfortably and to show the good result.
– You rushed the puck several times during the training. Do you miss the game?
– Eh… no, I just decided to warm up… (laughing) before the dinner.
