US actress Brittany Murphy has died at age 32 after collapsing at Los Angeles home. She had starred in several Hollywood films including Clueless, Just Married, Eight Mile and Girl Interrupted.
Her family has described her as a “shinning star” and called her death as a “terrible tragedy”, BBC reports.
At her final public event – just weeks before her Dec. 20 death – Brittany Murphy beamed for the cameras as she gushed about her family and spoke of wanting to have a baby, People Magazine informs.
Murphy, 32, walked the red carpet Dec. 3 for the opening of Tt Collection’s Pop-Up shop in LA.
Wearing a short black dress by her designer friend Tiffany Saidnia, Murphy was described as smiling and upbeat, telling Access Hollywood, “I’ve been very blessed to have a really great loving husband. ... I spend more time with my family than anyone else in the world.”
According to News.co.au, Brittany Murphy was looking forward to spending the New Year Down Under voicing a part in the sequel to Australian director George Miller’s animated hit Happy Feet.
The 32-year-old revealed she was “more than excited” about plans to fly to Sydney with actor Elijah Wood.
She was to revive her role of baby penguin Gloria in a 3D version of the Oscar-winning film.
Her family and fans will now be left to ponder what might have been after she suffered a fatal heart attack yesterday.
