Russian famous figure-skaters, World and European champions, Maria Petrova and Aleksey Tikhonov, welcomed their first child on the 1st of February! The newborn daughter was named Polina.
Both mother and baby feel good.
_"She is so little, so beautiful. It's very difficult to choose any words, but it's really no sense in them! I have become a father. There is a wish to cry over the whole world "Thank you, darling!" so happy I am", Aleksey Tikhonov wrote on the official site of the skaters.
Maria Petrova and Aleksey Tikhonov started to perform as a pair in 1998. They were cohabiting for more than 10 years. After giving birth to the baby the skaters probably will marry.
