Tennis player Vera Zvonareva of Russia after Wimbledon final returned into the top 10, in ninth place from 21st in the previous WTA rankings.
Serena Williams of the United States maintained a big lead in the women's tennis rankings in the wake of her latest Wimbledon title on the weekend.
Williams has 8,475 points in the list issued on Monday, to lead from Jelena Jankovic of Serbia (5,900) and Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark (5,630).
Serena's sister Venus Williams is the 4th.
Elena Dementieva is one more Russian that is in the top-10. The player has 4670 points and the 6th place in the list, Sportbox informs.
As for other Russian female athletes, Maria Sharapova is the 15th (3260 points), Nadezhda Petrova is the 19th (3075), Svetlana Kuznetsova is the 20th (2880 points), Alisa Kleybanova is the 26th (2070 points), Maria Kirilenko is the 27th (2045 points). The others are out of top-30.
