A nine-year-old Russian girl has been raped at a sea beach in the western Indian state of Goa, a senior police official said on Wednesday.
"The child was with her mother at Arambol Beach on Tuesday evening when two Indian men approached them. One chatted with her mother while the other man raped her after entering into the water she was playing. The medical examination has confirmed rape," the official said.
The latest case came a month after another Russian citizen alleged that she was raped in Goa by a local politician.
That case turned into a major controversy, with the police mishandling the investigation, Xinhua reports.
