Russian ballerina Natalia Osipova robbed in New York · 2011-06-16 18:10
A petite ballerina from Russia was slugged in the face by two young thugs early on the 15th of June after leaving the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, cops said.
Natalia Osipova, 24, was accosted by two teen boys, New York Post reports.
One of them punched her in the face and grabbed her purse, police said.
The hoodlums took off down the street.
Osipova, who now dances with the American Ballet Theatre, was not seriously hurt.
She will perform the lead role Saturday at the Met in "The Sleeping Beauty."
Police are still looking for the punks.
