The Heroes of the Fatherland’s Day in Togliatti
The 9th of December is a commemorative date in Togliatti, as well as throughout the country – the Heroes of the Fatherland’s Day. Today we pay tribute to the memory of our heroic ancestors and honor the living Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation, the knights of the Order of Glory. On the Day of the Heroes of the Fatherland we also honor the memory of those who were killed in the performance of duty during combat operations in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Moldova, in situations of armed conflict in the Chechen Republic and other territories of the Russian Federation referred to the zone of armed conflict.
Now in Togliatti live: the Hero of Russia, ten Heroes of Socialist Labor, and two Holders of the Order of Labor Glory.
