Dmitry Mikhailov Appointed AVTOVAZ Vice-president for Quality and Customer Satisfaction. He is succeeding Shigeru Nakamura, who will continue his career with Nissan in Japan.

Mikhailov, 43 y.o., graduated from St.-Petersburg University of Precision Mechanics and Optics in 1998 and developed his career in FMCG, then in the automotive industry, including Ford and Nissan local Russian production sites. He successfully passed through extensive trainings on production systems and quality control systems at Coca-Cola, Ford, and Nissan.

In 1999-2001 Mikhailov worked in the position of Body Shop Manager at Ford Motor Company Russian plant in Vsevolozhsk. In 2001-2007 ? in the position of Country Aseptic Manufacturing Manager, he managed all Coca-Cola non-carbonated beverages? plants in Russia.

In 2007 Mikhailov joined Nissan at the start of St.-Petersburg plant construction. He successfully managed the plant start-up as well as adoption of Nissan Production Way standards. In the course of ten years, he successfully launched eight Nissan models under full cycle production and five Infiniti and Nissan models as SKD projects. All these products are assembled with high quality level of Nissan standards. This was recognized by Global Nissan Quality Awards obtained by the St Petesburg plant in 2012 and 2014.

In his new role at AVTOVAZ Group, Mikhailov will further develop the best Alliance quality and customer satisfaction practices at both Togliatti and Izhevsk production sites. He will also monitor new products quality with AVTOVAZ Engineering and LADA vehicles customer satisfaction with Sales & Marketing teams.
