Autocross "Victory Day" was held in Togliatti · 2017-05-12 14:35

On Tuesday, May 9, in Togliatti, on the circuit of the KVC the traditional autocross competitions dedicated to the Victory Day took place. The races opened the summer motor sport season.

Racers from Togliatti, Samara, Zhigulyovsk, Kazan and Izhevsk took part in the competitions which held on Victory Day for more than 20 years. The race was held in three classes: “National”, “Free” and “Buggy”. In each of them four final runs were conducted. And on this day the audience saw and spectacular fights, and serious accidents, and the joy of victories, and the bitterness of disappointment.

In “Free” class the leader of the entire race became Sergei Puzenko from Togliatti, in “National” Vladimir Nikolayev from Samara became the winner, in “Buggy” Grigory Solomentsev from Togliatti became the first. The autocross “Victory Day” ended with the awards ceremony with gifts and the traditional shower of champagne. Now “Lada” begins preparations for the second stage of the Open Cross Cup, which will be a traditional autocross, dedicated to the City Day.
