Sportsmen from Togliatti excelled at the championship of Russia · 2017-09-01 15:26

In Penza on August 26 and 27 the Karate Championship of Russia among boys and girls aged 14-15, juniors 16-17 and 18-20 was held.

From Samara region a fairly representative team of 25 athletes came. Five of them became prize-winners, and three – reached the finals. Of particular note is the success of the pupil of the Togliatti Karate school “Record” Anna Chernyshova, who did not know the defeats on the tatami in Penza. Anna is already the fifth time in her life is the winner of the Russian championship in terms of sport “karate.”

Despite the fact that Anna was younger than her rivals, she won a confident victory in all five matches held. Another pupil of the karate school “Record” – Nikita Tregubov became a silver medalist in the category of juniors 16-17 years in weight up to 55 kg. On the way to the final, he won three strong-willed wins with a minimum score, and in the decisive match he lost to an athlete from Bashkortostan. Also great success was achieved by the fighters of the sports school “Soyuz”, competing for the team of the Samara region, Kirill Kuznetsov and Egor Pulkin.

The team of the Samara province took the 7th place among the 55 teams of the subjects of the Russian Federation. It was a selection for the world championship, which will be held in late October in Spain.
