The plant of AVTOVAZ in Kazakhstan is planned to be completed in 2021.

Nicolas More, the president of the Togliatti auto giant, said that the construction of a full-cycle auto plant (including welding, painting, assembly) within the framework of the joint venture Asia Auto Kazakhstan (75% of the Bipek Auto Asia Auto group, a blocking stake in AVTOVAZ) for three years, reports TASS with reference to Vedomosti.

Earlier it was reported that the total amount of capital investments in the base capacities of the first stage of the AVTOVAZ project in Kazakhstan was estimated at $ 380 million. The launch of the first stage of production with a capacity of 60,000 units was planned for 2018, and then for 2019.

“We tried to make investments, as far as possible, the size appropriate to the realities, together with Bipek minimized the risks,” said Mohr.
