Yves Karakatzanis will become the new president of AVTOVAZ · 2018-04-17 11:13

The main shareholder of AVTOVAZ, Alliance Rostec Auto BV, approved the candidacy of the new president of the Togliatti auto giant.

From June 1, 2018, this post will be taken by Iv Karakatzanis, the press service of Alliance Rostec Auto BV reports. Nicolas Mor will focus on the duties of the senior vice president of Renault and the head of the Eurasia region, as well as the deputy chairman of the board of directors of AVTOVAZ (elected April 2, 2018). In these functions, Mor will continue to monitor the financial recovery of AVTOVAZ and implementation of the company’s medium-term development plan, “Autostat” reports.

Yves Karakatzanis is currently the general director of Renault in Romania, where he is responsible for all commercial and production activities. He also holds the position of president and CEO of Automobile Dacia SA, which is today the largest private company in Romania, and the Dacia brand is one of the most actively growing automotive brands in Europe. His career in Renault Karakatzanis began in 1992. Prior to his arrival in Romania, he held positions of the industrial vice-president of the Eurasia region and the vice-president of the supply chain in different years.
