New LADA Granta will receive Uzbek headlights · 2018-05-10 11:22

Joint venture “UzChacis” in the Uzbek city of Namangan from July 2018 will begin to produce part of the components for the updated line of LADA cars.

In particular, the factory will produce headlamps for the Granta model, which will receive a new corporate design of AvtoVAZ, “AvtoSreda” reports.

The front lights for the Lada Granta FL car, the Lada Vesta SW / SW Cross number lamps, and about ten types of illuminating lamps for the LADA 2190, LADA 2191, LADA 8450, LADA 1117 and LADA 1119 cars will be manufactured and supplied to AvtoVAZ enterprises.

JV LLC “UzChacis” was founded in October 2008 by joint stock company Uzavtoprom and South Korean company AMS Co. Ltd. The authorized fund of the enterprise was 5.95 million dollars, and the share of the Uzbek side was 70%. Currently, the plant specializes in the production of automobile headlights and lanterns made of polymer materials for the Chevrolet and Ravon models produced in Uzbekistan and Brazil. The annual capacity is 270 thousand sets. The company installed equipment from Korea (LS, Hankook), Germany (OErlicon) and Japan (Meiki, Yaskawa).

To implement the project with AvtoVAZ, the plant promises to use modern technologies of the Indian company Neolite Zkw Lightngs Pvt Ltd and the German Genter Service GmbH. In addition, 35 new jobs will be created.
